Outsourcing might be painful, but you did the right thing!

I have decided today that my next "hub" is going to be about something which is not related to business, but when I saw your request, I couldn't resist:::))). As I mentioned in the title, the process of hiring people abroad can be very "painful" and ineffective, but by asking references, you are minimizing your risks of wasting both money and time. Since you are considering "outsourcing", I am assuming that you are surviving on a limited budget, which is why my suggestions will help you save extra bucks and find the right professionals very quickly. From my experience, the most effective ways for hiring people abroad are:

asking for references in business networking communites
hiring directly on DP

I am not talking about your option for "googling" and finding them on the net, since it is too risky and more expensive way for the outsourcing. At this point you are probably asking yourself: "What the heck is DP?"

DP, which is a short name for the Digital Point community, was established in 2004. This place is well known among webmasters, seo specialists and other online professionals and 90% of them are from India, Pakistan and China. The forum offers 6 areas for discussion: business, design and development, marketing, products and tools, search engines, the digital point.

As a newbie, you will not be able to use your signature as a link to your website, but after a while (as I remember I posted approximately 10 posts) you will be allowed to add a link to you site as a signature to all your posts (BTW: lots of people over there are selling these links). But, anyway, your question was about outsourcing and let me explain you how you can effectively and immediately (!) hire people abroad. The forum contains a Buy, Sell or Trade (BST) sub-forum that members can advertise their services in or take advantage of services offered by other members. As a newbie, you don't have any itrader points, which tells other members that you are not trustworthy yet. It is not critical when you are a "buyer" and, of course, it is a very important factor when you are a "seller". When you are ready for hiring, the most important part is to properly choose the subforums, otherwise you will be penalized by moderators.
