Lego: how to choose lego

Lego is known around the world is a perfect toy (and a gift too) for boys of all ages. I know that girls also play legos, but as a mom of two boys, I can say that lego is mostly designed for boys. My boys started playing Lego (Duplo) very early, at same time as they started walking and as they are growing up, their lego sets are becoming more and more complicated:). How to choose a perfect gift for your kids? One of the best things is that lego kits are age-rated, which makes your task is much easier. My tip for choosing the right lego for your child: only buy lego sets for your child's age. I have once bought a great lego that was appropriate for 8 y.o. kids. My 5 y.o. (who was begging me about this set at the store) wasn't able to build it and as a result I was completely doing it, from start to finish.

Lego is not just a set interlocking blocks, it's a great educational tool. It really makes your child creative and as there is a wide variety of themes: racing cars, dinosaurs, star wars, Indiana Jones and many, many others! And another very important detail: lego helps parents to spend more time together as they are working together (at least at the beginning) on projects and having fun!
